Re: whats the best mapable ecu
hello mate i had a mines ecu in my old e1 and it was great but as for mapping go to xo power developments at team valley and they will map your standard ecu and they have a brand new 4wd rolling road and is also very cheap. i will be taking mine there to have my standard ecu mapped but you will need an in car boost controller makes things alot easier for him.. i think its the early evo ecu that can be mapped anything over a three and you need a different one. when are you installing the stroker kit? if its before i get mine you will have to bring it up and show me, am only in durham cheers

Re: whats the best mapable ecu
i want it all done by spring ready for all the car shows i have found a place where i can get every thing to rebuild an early evo to 2.3 for not a great deal of money not much more than a basic uk stroker kit that come with
gates uprated balance and timing belt
walbro fuel pump kit
wiseco pistons
eagle rods eagle billet crank
clevite bearings and thrust washer conversion(to stop crank walk)
fidanza cam pulleys
272/272 cams brian crower
brian crower springs and retainers
cometic head gasket
arp head studs
and arp mains studs
so i am hopeing i should be able to get some decent power of it got all the suspention to do next

Re: whats the best mapable ecu
thats sounds good like. i know the uk stroker kits go for about £1100 but i can get them from america for around £600 delivered but if your getting all the rest that sounds good i might go for that.. are you fitting it yourself? give gunther a ring a xo and he will advise you on the mapping side.. if i come into a bit cash i might have mine in before the new year.. as for suspension i have coilovers all round, they sit a bit high but not adjustable so will have to see about some different springs for them
