help on dump valve

just a quick question... does anyone know why in the later evos (7 8 9) you can hear the dump valve alot earlier at lower revs. on the evo 2 that i have i hear it at around 3500rpm when the turbo kiks in ???

hello mate my turbo kicks inat around 2.5k or just above so maybe something is not right Question as 3.5k seems a bit high unless you have a bigger turbo?? then it would come in later
